What this lesson teaches
Composing means creating your own music and writing it down. You can invent a short melody, decide which parts are loud or soft, and choose how it begins and ends. The best composers try an idea, change it, and try again until it sounds right.
Worked example
Write a four-note tune for a birthday using a xylophone or app. Make the last note feel like an ending, then add a loud cymbal crash at the finish.
Practice questions
- Make up a short four-note melody.
- Mark one part of your piece loud and one part soft.
- Change one note in your tune and listen to how it changes.

Componer significa crear tu propia música y escribirla. Puedes inventar una melodía corta, decidir qué partes son fuertes o suaves, y elegir cómo empieza y termina. Los mejores compositores prueban una idea, la modifican y la vuelven a intentar hasta que suena bien.
