Numbers 11-19 as Ten and Ones

What this lesson teaches
The teen numbers from 11 to 19 are made of one full group of ten plus some extra ones. When you see a number like 14, you can think of it as ten and four more. This helps you understand what bigger numbers really mean.
Worked example
Take 13. Put 10 buttons in one cup, that is your ten. Then count 3 more buttons next to it. Ten and three ones makes 13.
