Words at Work

Aligned to L.K.1 — Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts.

What this lesson teaches

Naming words tell what things are, and action words tell what we do.

Worked example

In 'The dog runs,' 'dog' is a naming word and 'runs' is an action word.

Practice questions

  1. Say a naming word for a toy.
  2. Say an action word you can do.
  3. Make one word mean more than one, like cat to cats.

Palabras en Acción
