What this lesson teaches
Naming words tell what things are, and action words tell what we do.
Worked examples
Example 1
In 'The dog runs,' 'dog' is a naming word and 'runs' is an action word.
Example 2
In 'The bird sings,' 'bird' names something and 'sings' tells what it does.
Example 3
Add an 's' for more than one: one cat, two cats. That little letter changes the whole meaning.
Practice questions
- Say a naming word for a toy.
- Say an action word you can do.
- Make one word mean more than one, like cat to cats.

Las palabras que nombran dicen qué son las cosas, y las palabras de acción dicen qué hacemos.
Ejemplo 1: En 'El perro corre', 'perro' nombra algo y 'corre' es una acción.
