What this lesson teaches
Two authors covering one topic often stress different evidence or read the same facts differently. Compare what each emphasizes to see how presentation shapes the message.
Worked example
On a new park, one writer highlights costs and taxes; another highlights clean air and play space. Same park, different evidence chosen — each shapes readers toward a different opinion.
Practice questions
- Find two articles on the same topic and note what each one emphasizes.
- Identify one fact both mention but interpret differently.
- Explain how the two authors' choices lead readers to different conclusions.
