How Ideas and Events Connect

What this lesson teaches
In nonfiction, people, events, and ideas act on each other. Analyze how one influences another — cause and effect, or how an idea shapes a person's actions.
Worked example
An invention (idea) let farmers grow more food, which drew people to cities (event), which created a need for new laws (idea). Each link pushes the next — trace the chain.
Practice questions
- In an article, find one event and explain what it caused or changed.
- Show how a person in the text was influenced by an idea or another person.
- Draw a simple arrow chain linking three connected events or ideas from the text.

En la no ficción, personas, eventos e ideas se afectan entre sí. Analiza cómo uno influye en otro —causa y efecto, o cómo una idea moldea las acciones de una persona.
