What this lesson teaches
A good presentation states clear claims, backs them with relevant facts and details, and uses eye contact, volume, and pacing so listeners follow your salient points.
Worked example
Weak: mumbling 'Um, dogs are, like, good pets.' Strong: 'Dogs make loyal pets — they lower stress and encourage daily exercise,' spoken clearly with a pause before each reason.
Practice questions
- State a claim aloud in one clear sentence, then add two supporting facts.
- Practice saying it while making eye contact and pausing between points.
- Record or perform a 30-second talk and note one delivery choice to improve.
