What this lesson teaches
Good writing is clear and organized so a reader can follow it easily. Match your writing to your task and your audience: a note to a friend sounds different from a report for class. Keep ideas grouped and in a sensible order.
Worked example
A how-to on making a sandwich is clear when it lists the steps in order — get bread, add filling, close it, cut it — instead of jumping around, so the reader never gets lost.
