What this lesson teaches
Learning new words helps you talk and write clearly. When you meet a useful word, try using it in your own sentences.
Worked example
After learning 'enormous,' you use it: 'The enormous whale swam past our boat,' which sounds stronger than 'big.'
Practice questions
- Learn a new word and write it in a sentence.
- Replace a plain word with a stronger one you learned.
- Use a new topic word when you talk about that subject.
