Where Is Water?

What this lesson teaches

Water is found in many places on Earth, and it can be a solid like ice or a liquid we can pour.

Worked example

Water fills the ocean and lakes as a liquid, and on a snowy mountain it is a solid we call snow and ice.

Practice questions

  1. Name two places on Earth where you can find water.
  2. Point to water that is solid and water that is liquid in a picture.
  3. Explain how the same water can be liquid in summer and solid in winter.
