What this lesson teaches
Reading across multiple sources and technical texts means analyzing how authors support claims, translating data or quantitative information into words, and judging which account is better supported. You then write discipline-specific arguments and explanations.
Worked example
Two sources describe the same drought: one cites rainfall data, the other relies on anecdotes. Comparing them, the data-backed source is better supported, so you weight it more.

Leer en múltiples fuentes y textos técnicos implica analizar cómo los autores sustentan sus afirmaciones, traducir datos o información cuantitativa en palabras, y determinar qué fuente está mejor respaldada. Luego redactas argumentos y explicaciones propios de cada disciplina.
Ejemplo: Dos fuentes describen la misma sequía: una cita datos de precipitación, la otra se apoya en anécdotas. Al compararlas, la fuente respaldada por datos está mejor sustentada, por lo que le das mayor peso.
