Same and Different

What this lesson teaches
Two stories can have characters who do things. We can see how they are the same and how they are different.
Worked examples
Example 1
One story has a bear who plants seeds. Another has a rabbit who plants seeds. Both plant, but one is a bear and one is a rabbit.
Example 2
One story's wolf is hungry and scary. Another story's wolf is lonely and kind. Same animal, very different character.
Example 3
Compare the endings too. Two stories about being lost can end with one child found and one child still looking.
Practice questions
- Name two characters from stories you know.
- Tell one way they are the same.
- Tell one way they are different.

Igual y Diferente
Dos cuentos pueden tener personajes que hacen cosas. Podemos ver en qué se parecen y en qué son diferentes.
Ejemplo 1: Un cuento tiene un oso que siembra semillas. Otro tiene un conejo que siembra semillas. Ambos siembran, pero uno es oso y otro es conejo.
Ejemplo 2: El lobo de un cuento tiene hambre y da miedo. El lobo de otro cuento está solo y es amable. El mismo animal, un personaje muy distinto.
Ejemplo 3: Compara también los finales. Dos cuentos sobre perderse pueden acabar con un niño encontrado y otro todavía buscando.
