Aligned to NCAS:Pr — National Core Arts Standards.
What this lesson teaches
Producing media means taking a project from idea to a finished, shareable piece. You might storyboard a video, record and edit audio for a podcast, or design a logo, using real tools and thinking about your audience and purpose. Managing the whole process is a powerful skill.
Worked example
For a how-to video you storyboard the shots, film each step, edit out the mistakes, add captions and music, then export it for an audience that wants to learn that skill.
Practice questions
- Storyboard a short video before filming it.
- Edit a clip to remove mistakes and add a title.
- Who is your audience, and how does that change your choices?
