What this lesson teaches
Living things need certain things to survive. Animals need food and water; plants need water, air, and sunlight.
Worked examples
Example 1
A sunflower needs sunlight and water to grow tall; a rabbit needs plants to eat and water to drink.
Example 2
A goldfish needs water to breathe and swim in, plus food flakes to eat.
Example 3
A plant stuck in a dark closet turns pale and droopy. Take away sunlight and even a healthy plant stops growing.
