What this lesson teaches
Talking with others means taking turns: you listen, then you speak. Speaking in whole sentences and learning new words helps people understand you.
Worked example
If a friend says 'I have a dog,' you listen, then take your turn: 'I have a cat. My cat is soft.' That is a good back-and-forth conversation.
Practice questions
- Answer in a full sentence: What did you eat today?
- Name three things that are fruits.
- Take turns: say one thing, then let someone else go.

Conversación, vocabulario y convenciones iniciales
Hablar con otras personas significa tomar turnos: tú escuchas y luego hablas. Hablar en oraciones completas y aprender palabras nuevas ayuda a que las personas te entiendan.
Ejemplo: Si un amigo dice 'Tengo un perro,' tú escuchas y luego tomas tu turno: 'Yo tengo un gato. Mi gato es suave.' Eso es una buena conversación de ida y vuelta.
