What this lesson teaches
Human activities — burning fuels, farming, building — affect Earth's systems and resources. Understanding cause and effect helps us reduce harm and use resources sustainably.
Worked example
Burning fossil fuels releases carbon dioxide, which traps heat and warms the climate; switching to solar and wind reduces that effect.
