What this lesson teaches
Before we fix something, we ask questions and look closely to understand exactly what the problem is.
Worked example
If your backpack keeps falling over, you look at it and ask why — maybe the bottom is too round to stand up.
Practice questions
- Find one thing at home that does not work well and describe the problem.
- Ask two questions that would help you understand why a door squeaks.
- Explain what problem a stronger umbrella would need to solve on a windy day.
