What this lesson teaches
We see objects when light bounces off them into our eyes. Sounds are made by things vibrating — shaking back and forth quickly.
Worked example
Plucking a rubber band makes it vibrate, which we hear as a sound. We can only see a book when light shines on it.

- What makes a sound when you strum a guitar?
- Can you see in a completely dark room? Why not?

Luz y sonido
Vemos los objetos cuando la luz rebota en ellos y llega a nuestros ojos. Los sonidos se producen cuando las cosas vibran — es decir, cuando se sacuden hacia adelante y hacia atrás rápidamente.
Ejemplo: Jalar una liga hace que vibre, lo cual escuchamos como un sonido. Solo podemos ver un libro cuando la luz lo ilumina.
